pocket organizer


I made this organizer from yellow linen and covered the top three pockets with an old embroidered dresser scarf. My grandmother embroidered the scarf and crocheted the trim probably before I was born. I think it adds a nice touch to an otherwise utilitarian item.

I have the laundry room in mind for it.

The Eagle Has Landed...

I have posted this youtube video of the launch and landing on the moon 40 years ago. I hope everyone enjoys it. If you are too young to remember it, then it is especially dedicated to you. My memory of that day is faint, I was almost 5 years old and I recall hearing the radio announcer talking about it as we were riding in the car. I have no idea where we were going, just that it was hot and cars in those days, for the most part did not have a/c. My family lived in Houston Texas in a little brick house in a typical neighborhood for the 60's. We had a yellow Ford Fairlane.
